Job Description:

Our client, in the Irving area, is seeking a Mid-level Accountant for a contract position. Some of the duties will include: Prepare month-end journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring complete and accurate supporting documentation for assigned functional accounting areas. Perform variance analysis on assigned accounts, comparing actual results to budget and trend, and provide explanations to accounting leads and managers for financial statement review. Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations related to assigned functional accounting areas. Collaborate with other teams to resolve issues and respond to information requests related to the assigned functional area, ensuring timely resolution. Contribute to process improvement projects, assist in year-end external audits, and research GL transactions to understand their impact on the general ledger.
