Salary: $95,000 - $134,000 per year A bit about us: Our company, a leading player in the energy industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with a team of highly skilled professionals in the midstream oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will have a key role in managing our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of our general ledger, and preparing comprehensive financial reports. This role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity and a deep understanding of oil and gas accounting. Why join us? Competitive Compensation, $100-120k base bonus Dollar-for-dollar match up to 6% of employee contributions profit-sharing contributions Hybrid Work Schedule, 3 days in office, 2 days work from home Comprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, parental leave, and a stock purchase program with a 15% discount Job Details Responsibilities: Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports to support business operations Budget forecasts, depreciations, tax deferrals, financial ratios, billing and adjustments, rate and tariff schedules, derivative entries and disclosures Collaborate with the property accounting team and other departments to implement process improvements Assist in the preparation of tax returns and supporting calculations Verify and perform calculations related to depreciation, allocations, and financial ratios Utilize accounting software to prepare and verify information, including forecasts and regulatory reports Provide information and assistance to auditors, regulatory staff, and internal stakeholders regarding accounting activities Qualifications: Previous experience using Waterfield software a must Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or commensurate experience Knowledge of standard accounting methods and procedures Ability to interpret governmental regulations, accounting publications, and legal documents Interested in hearing more?
