Job Description:

We are working with a school based in TX that is in need of a principal for their school. The client will accept candidates with a leadership background working in a school.

Primary Purpose:
The Principal will achieve a high degree of both managerial and instructional leadership
roles, all with the intent of student success and with an obligation to district, state and
federal policies and guidelines.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's Degree or higher degree
Texas principal certificate or equivalent experience
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to coordinate campus functions
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Strong organizational and leadership, communication, public relations, and interpersonal
skills
Excellent integrity and good moral character and initiative

Experience:
Three years experience as a classroom teacher
Two years experience in a principal or instructional leadership roles

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Leadership(Work with district directors and officers to ensure accomplishment of goals)
1. Monitor instructional and managerial processes to ensure that program activities are related
to program outcomes and use data to take corrective actions.

2. Consults and confer with Principal's cabinet about planning, operation, supervision, and
evaluation of campus educational programs regularly. Include students and community
representatives when appropriate.
3. Foster the success of all students by facilitating the development, communication,
implementation and evaluation of a shared vision of teaching and learning that leads to
academic progress for all students
4. Communicates a clear mission and vision to all stakeholders to develop a cohesive team
5. Distributes effective leadership and sharing responsibilities among the campus team to
establish a system of learning where all campus staff is held accountable for student
success
6. Monitors curriculum, instruction and assessment of teachers with the intent on positive
student outcomes
7. Articulate instructional practices, strategies, standards and curriculum implementations;
including instructional technology and innovative programs
8. Monitor and integrate all special programs including but not limited to (Special Education,
English as a Second Language, Bilingual Education, Response to intervention, At-Risk, etc.)
9. Work with district directors to ensure effective learning for all students
School Climate (Work with district directors and officers to ensure accomplishment of goals)
10. Builds positive relationships among all school and district staff in order to provide a team
spirit throughout the school community.
11. Ability to model, motivate and communicate a high level of respect and expectations; and
develop a culture where all stakeholders are involved to create a positive and effective
learning environment.
12. Ensure a high level of communication skills are used to effectively engage stakeholders, to
develop a shared vision and to keep dialogue open between parents, staff, students and
community
13. Work collaboratively with central office directors to ensure effectiveness of all areas
14. Provide a high degree of integrity, openness and honesty to uphold high ethical standards
and conduct.
