With employee health and safety as our top priority, and as a federal contractor, Lockheed Martin is taking action to address the increased risk and uncertainty COVID variants pose in the workplace and ensuring we meet our commitments to national security.As directed by Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, effective December 8, 2021, Lockheed Martin will require all newly hired employees, in the United States, must be fully vaccinated before their start date.Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire in Grand Prairie, Texas is seeking an experienced Hardware Integration & Test Senior Engineer who will be involved in detailed Hardware design and supporting hardware and software integration/verification for new test sets being developed in support of testing the PAC-3/MSE Missile and subsystems. Applicant should be a proven problem solver who can multi-task in a complex interrelated environment.Candidates should be skilled in test equipment design, interface test adapter (ITA) design, and interfacing with test equipment. Candidates must understand electronics testing methods. Requires knowledge of industry wide tests and test equipment. Candidate will provide flow charts, block diagrams, schematics, and interface control documents. This role will support the writing of test requirements, test description documents, operating instruction, and installation procedures. This role will support Peer Reviews, Design Assurance Reviews, Pre/Post Verification Readiness Reviews, etc. Candidate provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.Candidate is expected to work under only general direction. This role will be required to work to the assigned tasks as laid out in the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) within constraints defined by the Test System Technical Lead. This role is expected to provide timely and frequent communication on progress and significant issues to the Test System Technical Lead and other Program and Functional Stakeholders to prevent surprises.Candidate will be required to work with cross functional teams - Test System Technical Lead, Systems Engineering (SE) SME, Unit Under Test (UUT) SME, Group Technical Staff (GTS), and Functional Design Assurance SME - to ensure the test system design is in-line with Enterprise standards and to ensure the test system meets requirements.Candidate will occasionally be required to travel to Lockheed Martin production facilities, supplier's facilities, and customer facilities.Basic Qualifications:Troubleshooting Analog and Digital ElectronicsTest equipment hardware (Oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMM, signal Generators, spectrum analyzers, AC/DC power distribution systems)Ability to analyze test requirement and design hardware and software solutions that meet requirementsAbility to identify the appropriate test equipment per the requirements and work with procurement teamAbility to collaborate with senior hardware and software engineersMicrosoft Office skillsAbility to obtain a secret security clearanceDesired Skills:RF/Telemetry BackgroundPrior experience of HW/SW Integration and VerificationFamiliar with all aspects of radar hardware/software operationExperience in troubleshooting and failure investigation in support of developmental engineering as well as production manufacturingCadence and CST design tool experienceAgile Development (JIRA, GitLab)Requirements Management Applications (DOORS, NI Requirements Gateway)Knowledge of 1553 communication protocolsAbility to collaborate across engineering functions to resolve issues that occur in production test equipment, document identified issues, and implement hardware/software solutions as corrective actions.Strong background in cross -discipline systems engineering practices including requirements development/maintenance, architecture, test equipment hardware/software design, integration and verificationBackground on developing automated test equipment using National Instruments hardware as building blockBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
