Job Description:
Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer (QE)
Staff for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to manage the
implementation and execution of program quality requirements when
creating proposals/BOEs and supporting the programs. Responsible
for all aspects of Quality across the program's lifecycle,
including:
Proficient in the areas of proposals, Request for Proposal (RFP),
Basis of Estimate (BOE), contract review, program start-up,
production, and support.
Requires an understanding of quality tasks across quality functions
including hardware, software, systems, suppliers /sub-contractors,
and customers.
Collaborate and partners with other functions including Program
Manager, Proposal Manager, Contracts, Engineering, Global Supply
Chain, Manufacturing, Production and Customers.
Support all programs proposals for the Precision Fires LOB
including Guided, Missile, Launcher and Advanced Programs.
Assist in establishing quality budgets and cost commitments.
Participate in independent reviews including Readiness Acceptance
Check (RAC), customer proposal / BOE reviews, customer
negotiations, Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits, Programs
Reviews and Executive Leadership Proposals Reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
Technical Engineering (STEM - Engineering / Science) degree at the
Bachelor level or above (required)
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a secret
clearance - DOD Secret
Understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS), Quality
Proposals and Quality Engineering.
Proficient in writing Proposal and Basis of Estimate (BOE).
Strong knowledge of creating an accurate, complete, correct,
current and competitive Proposals/Basis of Estimate (BOE) and
meeting proposal deadlines.
Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with other
functions such as PM, Engineering, GSC, Prod Ops, Manufacturing and
Customers.
Strong organizational skills, attention to details, ability to work
in a dynamic environment, ability to train employees and the
ability to multi-task.
Effective Communication Skills: Written, Oral, Listening,
Presentation, Technical Writing, Collaboration.
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications such as
Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts and other
engineering requirements
Demonstrate ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and
resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very
complex
An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
(GD&T)
Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying
process improvement.
Ability to travel - (25%)
Desired Skills:
Experience with Customer Audits and Negotiations
Experience in writing technical and cost volumes
Understanding of TINA Compliance and TINA SWEEP
Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems/Models such
as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit
(AS9100, ISO9001), AS9145
Desire and ability to implement creative problem-solving
techniques
Demonstrate understanding of audit techniques and systems for their
efficiencies.
Ensure Corrective Measures meet acceptable reliability standards
and documentation is compliant to requirements.
Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality experience as well as
experience with developing and reviewing Quality Standards,
methods, work instructional and procedures for inspection.
An understanding of the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) SAP and
Procure to Pay (P2P) business systems
Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102
requirements

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee
selected for this position will work part of their work schedule
remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed
during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate
work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our
employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day
work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules
provide employees with additional time away from the office and are
in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
