Scope of Responsibilities: With a solid foundation of cardiology focused experience, the Clinical Director is an extremely passionate provider of care with a desire to make a difference in the life of every patient s/he touches. S/he is not only patient focused, but also is a team-oriented clinician with a natural leadership mindset and a desire for mentoring. The Clinical Director serves at the clinic by directing and overseeing a clinic staff, leading a diverse and dynamic team responsible for managing each patient through their 7-week treatment regimen to focus on educating patients regarding disease processes, medication adherence, and healthy living choices.Clinical Director Essential Functions:Clinic Focused--- Evaluate new patient referrals for medical necessity, appropriateness of therapy, compliance with insurance regulations, and comprehensive medical history for patient safety.--- Conduct and document quality office visits including orientation visits, weekly visits, mid-treatment evaluations, and final evaluations.--- Educate, advise, and maintain positive relationships with Medical Directors.--- Complete reports, charges, and data entry with accuracy and in a timely fashion.--- Educate each patient/family member about EECP and specific disease state.--- Manage and document clinical issues as they arise; coordinates emergency care, as needed.--- Perform, educate staff, and supervise EECP device management as needed.--- Assist patient and referring physicians with coordination of care with non-emergent issues.--- Provide a professional, caring, nurturing environment yielding a positive, unforgettable experience for patients.--- Other job duties, as assigned.Team Focused--- Lead a clinical staff of Medical Assistants while acting as a steward of the Flow Therapy culture.--- Mentor, support, and supervise the EECP technicians during the delivery of patient care and EECP treatment.--- Provide effective performance feedback and guidance through coaching, recognition, development, reviews, and disciplinary action.--- Maintain team schedules, payroll, and attendance.--- Monitor and maintain staffing levels for maximal efficacy and outstanding patient experiences.--- Maintain effective communication with team, peers, and other off-site leaders.--- Exercise fiscal responsibility with clinic expenses.--- Other job duties, as assigned.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:--- Strong authentic leadership skills to support team growth, satisfaction, retention and performance.--- A high level of interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy required to deal effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.--- Ability to apply a solution-oriented approach and philosophy.--- A hands-on leader with integrity and a desire for work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.--- Proven ability to effectively lead teams and positively interact cross-functionally.--- Well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.--- A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail-oriented perspective.--- Demonstrated leadership abilities in addressing challenges/opportunities to gain acceptance of others in difficult situations.Education and Experience:--- Certified, licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, required.--- Five or more years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantexperience, required.--- Two or more years of industry experience in cardiology, preferred.Physical Requirements:--- Interaction with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.--- See and read computer monitors and documents.--- Operate computers, telephones, office equipment and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.--- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, etc.--- Frequent interaction with patient care providers, patients, and employees that require verbal communication as well as to hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.--- Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.This job description should not be interpreted as all inclusive.
