All current and newly hired employees are required to follow onsite safety measures based upon the COVID-19 Community Level at the specific work location.Description:The assured supply of critical materials and the resiliency of their supply chains are essential to U.S. national security and Lockheed Martin enterprise performance. Lockheed Martin is heavenly dependent on foreign sources of critical materials, to include, microelectronics, Rare Earth Elements (REEs), and critical minerals, resulting in potential strategic vulnerabilities to both our customers and the business. Mitigating critical materials risks is essential and consistent with the National Security, National Defense, and Lockheed Martin's strategies for a resilient and assured supply chain.The Lockheed Martin Critical Materials Management Lead (Level TBD) will be responsible for:--- Developing and gaining approval of LM's Microelectronics Resiliency Strategy and subsequent strategy execution to continually and proactively assess and mitigate risks in support of our programs and customers.--- Leading the new cross-functional Enterprise Microelectronics Risk Management Team (verse Supply Chain branding focus) to provide leadership and drive execution of the team's charter. (Pending formal establishment of the team.)--- Establishing a Microelectronics Rapid Response Team to aggressively address emerging obsolescence and critical shortages and proactively establish a rapid insertion parts list for key products and technologies to reduce redesign and requalification lead-times.--- Expand the operating model to address broader critical materials including Rare Earth Elements (REEs) and other critical materials and elements based on a risk based approach. (Expansion timing TBD but likely late this year or first half of 2023.)The lead will leverage resources across the enterprise, government, and customer areas to develop and drive required mitigation plans in support of our program and business commitments. This involves fostering collaboration and alignment among Business Area and functional teams in terms of design, supply chain, and government affairs processes. Specific collaboration will be required with the GSCO to align with Illumination efforts and future data availability and Supply Chain Transformation efforts to establish new capabilities.The Critical Materials Lead will report to the Corporate Operations Process Transformation Vice President.This role can be performed from any major Lockheed Martin site/location.Basic Qualifications:--- Candidates possess technical/science educational background.--- Expertise in Hardware Functional Team or Materials Engineering --- Aerospace & Defense experience--- Well-developed and demonstrated collaboration and leadership skills--- Well-developed communication skills, written and verbalDesired Skills:--- Lockheed Martin Supply Chain knowledge and work experience--- Program Management work experience preferred--- U.S. Government work experience --- International experience--- Active Secret Clearance

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
