Registered Nurse - RN - Operating RoomThe Registered Nurse in our OR will enjoy the benefits of brand new equipment in a state of the art facility. Our 6 bed OR supports Robotics, GYN, Bariatric, Ortho, Neuro, Peds, Urology and Plastics cases and you will have the opportunity to be a part of the newest addition to the HCA family. Applying the standards set forth for nursing practice by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and Association of peri-Operative Registered Nurses (AORN), the OR RN will organize, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care for surgical services patients.--- Assists in and assesses Operating Room readiness: table positioning, supplies and supply availability, and equipment readiness--- Monitors treatment in the operative environment including practice of aseptic technique and maintenance of sterile fields and correction of breaks in technique for any of the team members --- Manages patient safety by implementing operative policy and procedures including patient identification, site verification, positioning and counting of sponges, instruments and sharp Benefits:We offer you an excellent total compensation package, including competitive salary, excellent benefit package and growth opportunities. Experience and Licensure Requirements
  • Current licensure as an RN in TX or Compact license is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS preferred
  • CNOR preferred
  • Must have recent experience in Operating Room Nursing of at least 1 year
