/ Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Location: Plano, Texas (TX)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Shift/Schedule: Day Shift:
7:00 AM 5:30 PM 4/10 s schedule (four 10-hour shifts per week)
Rotating weekday off On-Call: 8 9 days per month including 1
weekend/month Job Summary: The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
assists physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab
procedures. Responsibilities include preparing procedure rooms and
equipment, monitoring patients, providing routine and emergency
care, supporting quality control initiatives, and contributing to
training and orientation of team members. Essential Functions:
Assist physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, pacemaker
implantations, defibrillator placements, diagnostic and
interventional procedures. Follow radiation safety protocols and
emergency procedures (CPR, defibrillation). Perform pre- and
post-procedure patient care and monitoring. Orient and educate
patients regarding procedures. Monitor patients ECG, pressures,
temperature, and impedance; notify physician of any variances.
Operate RF/Cryo ablation systems, 3D mapping, and manage procedural
documentation. Maintain images, catheterization data, and prepare
reports. Prepare and maintain sterile fields; manage procedure room
supplies. Ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning; report
issues. Participate in quality control and regulatory initiatives
(daily, monthly, quarterly). Engage in department governance,
committees, LEAN, 5S, and other initiatives. Transport patients and
provide excellent customer service. Qualifications: Education &
Experience: Associate s degree in a related field OR Completion of
US military training with equivalent experience OR Minimum 2 years
of cardiovascular lab experience Certifications & Licenses: ACLS
(within 30 days of hire/transfer) BLS (within 30 days of
hire/transfer) One of the following: ARRT-R Radiography Cert
Cardiac Device Spec (CCDS) Cert EP Specialist (CEPS) Medical
Radiologic Tech (MRT) Reg Cardio Electrophysiology (RCES) Reg
Cardiovascular Invasive Spec (RCIS) Knowledge & Skills: Complex
invasive cardiac and vascular procedures Cardiovascular anatomy and
physiology Patient care and monitoring Sterile technique and
equipment handling RF/Cryo ablation systems, 3D mapping Data
documentation and reporting Quality control, compliance, and
regulatory knowledge Strong communication and teamwork
