Job Description:
Methodist Health System is actively seeking a Gastrointestinal
Technician to join our dedicated healthcare team. This role
involves assisting in diagnostic procedures, maintaining equipment,
and providing direct patient care under the supervision of
specialized physicians and nursing staff within our
gastroenterology department. As a member of Methodist Health
System, you will contribute to our mission of improving and saving
lives by delivering high-quality, compassionate healthcare
services. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to
strict safety protocols, and a dedication to patient privacy and
comfort. Assist in conducting diagnostic tests and procedures such
as endoscopies and colonoscopies. Prepare patients for examinations
and procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the
process. Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
Record and manage patient data ensuring confidentiality and
accuracy. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide
exceptional patient care. Follow all departmental policies and
procedures related to hygiene and safety. Strong understanding of
gastrointestinal procedures and equipment. Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills. High attention to detail and precision.
Proficiency in using medical software and patient management
systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare
environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Certification as a Gastrointestinal Technician from an accredited
program is highly desirable. BLS certification required.
