Catering and Suites Manager Reports To The Catering and Suites Manager will report to VP of Venues, the Director of Operations, and the venues Director of Food and Beverage. Job Overview This position will primarily work at the Texas Trust Credit Union Theatre at Grand Prairie (TTCUT) under the direction of the Director of Operations and the Director of Food and Beverage. To be successful in this role the individual must be a team player and be able to give and take direction. They must be very hands-on, enjoy working closely with their team, and being on the floor interacting with staff and guests. They must be well organized, be able to multi-task and ensure that the job is done well, correctly, and in a timely manner. They will be 100% responsible for the suites and catering business at TTCUT. This is a leadership position that will work closely with the Executive Chef and supervises the suites and catering associates. This job has an existing suites program. You would be growing that program and developing our catering business.

Responsibilities and Duties

Build and maintain a strong catering team

Manage and lead the suites and catering staff

Responsible for all monetary transactions within the department

Responsible for completing nightly paperwork and sending to appropriate individuals

Responsible for ordering, inventory, scheduling, hiring and discipline of all catering and suites team members

P and L responsibility

Responsible for invoicing and CCR

Planning events and being detail oriented

Actively seeking new business

Responsible for projections and proformas for each event

Must participate in meetings and training sessions as required

Handle guest concerns and complaints in a professional manner

Must ensure that all staff and guests follow current Covid guidelines as determined by the venue Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or GED

Must have at least 5 years experience working in catering environment with at least 2 years management experience, preferably with a strong suites background

Must be able to lift to 50 pounds, bend, twist, squat, stoop, walk up and down stairs while carrying items and walk on flat and uneven surfaces.

Will be subjected to extreme heat and cold

Must have Food Handlers permit and Grand Prairie Food Handlers Permit (60 days)

Must be TABC Certified

Must be able to use a 2-way radio in a professional manner

Must be able to maintain and keep confidences and confidential information

Must have open availability and will be required to work when needed. This includes weekends, evenings, nights, mornings, and many holidays.

Must be fully vaccinated on or before October 4, 2021
