Job Description:
TAS is looking for an ambitious, diligent, quality minded
hands-on SCADA Developer. You will review control narrative,
instrumentation diagrams and network architecture in order to
connect to field hardware and build out the SCADA visualization
applications. You will also be called on to troubleshoot existing
automation systems in a live, critical environment as well as
complete startup, commissioning, and validation procedures on new
and existing applications.Essential Job Functions
- Develop, deploy, and repair SCADA HMI applications for new &
existing control systems, with minimal supervision.
- Complete SCADA software application modifications in an online,
critical environment.
- Identify and resolve HMI, network, and other critical control
system issues during an incident.
- Support data center commissioning activities, including
contractor management, validation of hardware and software systems,
alarming, data recovery, and functional logic.
- Work with control system programmers in order to smoothly
integrate controls and SCADA.Duties
- Collaborate with the End Users, Controls Programmers and Site
Operations team to build a sustainable automation
architecture.
- Support the start-up and testing of complex control systems
that are tied to the SCADA system.
- Examine project documents, including Control Narrative, Cause
and Effect, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, Network
Architecture and project schedules when developing automation logic
and visualization applications.
- Train Site-Operations personnel how to use the SCADA platform
for Critical Facility system monitoring.
- Create Controls Architecture Documents to include Networking
Topology & IP Scheme.
- Manage other integration team members and staff augmented
personnel.Job Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Ignition (by Inductive Automation)
software platform is required. Ability with other SCADA platforms
such as VTSCADA, iFIX, etc. is a strong plus.
- 3 years of experience in Industrial Automation SCADA
development required, 5 or more years preferred.
- Process Automation experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of automation systems (control loops, field IO, etc.)
in a critically important environment
- Knowledge of industrial PLC systems.
- Bachelor of Science degree is desirable but not required.
- Ignition 8.0 Core Certification is required. Gold Certification
is desirable.
- Travel required is approximately 25% or less but may change
