Job Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) domain, you will define and implement strategies to deliver secure and delightful customer authentication and authorization across T-Mobile's digital channels. You will collaborate with business, product, application teams, and cybersecurity stakeholders to enhance customer experience and security, leading the implementation of technical solutions. Additionally, you will work with IT and engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility, align solutions, and lead development efforts.

Job Responsibilities

• Hands-on API / Microservice development experience.
  
• Experience in backend or middleware API services development.
  
• Lead development teams and practices, identify improvement opportunities.
  
• Write unit tests for new system functionalities.
  
• Plan and lead development efforts to implement new capabilities.
  
• Advocate for quality and best practices in development.
  
• Communicate and document development standards and practices.
  
• Maintain technical skills through ongoing education.
  
• Create detailed development plans aligned with architecture.
  
• Communicate technical impacts and effort estimates.
  
• Coordinate with Platform Ops & SRE teams for transaction patterns and platform components.
  
• Perform peer code reviews.
  
• Collaborate on low-level design and development plans.
  
• Work with product and IT teams on delivery and support of enhancements.
  
  Education and Work Experience
  
  
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  
• Minimum 7 years in software development, including:
  

• 
  
• Backend API / Microservice development with NodeJS and ExpressJS.
  
• Experience with databases like MongoDB, MySQL, DynamoDB.
  
  
• At least 5 years in a technical lead role, mentoring staff.
  
• Experience with zero-trust security principles.
  
• Agile / Scrum experience.
  
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  
• Motivated to learn and adapt.
  
• Aligned with values of teamwork and change championing.
  Preferred Qualifications
  
  • 
    
  • Experience with IAM systems, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect.
    
  • Front-end skills with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript; AEM experience is a bonus.
    
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    
    • 
      
    • Ability to set up full-stack environments from scratch.
      
    • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Webpack, JavaScript, and frameworks.
      
    • Understanding of web protocols, full-stack operation, and data flow.
      
    • Database modeling, SQL, performance tuning, and data migration skills.
