Siemens Industry is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for our Grand Prairie, TX factory located in the heart of the DFW Metroplex. Our growing facility has over 650 employees that produce high-quality, engineered and make-to-order circuit breakers. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for manufacturing capability, continuity and continuous improvement. This includes documentation and performance measurement of manufacturing processes, new product introduction, improvements to production lines, capital expenditures, cost savings measures, CAD, additive manufacturing, and fixture design. The Manufacturing Engineer also participates in the resolution of issues and improvements to IT infrastructure and production systems. Projects owned by this position will be key components in the realization of the factory vision. The successful candidate requires hands on manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will be a self-starting individual knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades rather than a specialist. The types of projects that will need to be executed are varied and will require an adaptable skill set. Basic Skill Set: - Ability to read/interpret a variety of drawings, schematics, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data - Proficient with hand tools - Strong ability for problem solving - Strong Data analytics knowledge and ability to use that data to improve plant systems - Demonstrated effective communication skills both verbal and written Main Focus-Responsibilities - Lead or Support Manufacturing and Product Engineering on key development projects - Contribute to plant success through continuous improvement projects - Manufacturing Execution Systems integration into plant systems & hardware - Maintain equipment including mechanical, systems, computers & networks, electrical and pneumatic - Design, troubleshoot, repair, and install manufacturing related equipment on the factory floor - Data Collection and analyses - Train manufacturing line personnel - Create and implement training documents/procedures What you must have: 1. Bachelors degree in Engineering. 2. 2-5 years expereince in Operations Support in light manufacturing environment. 3. PC Software & hardware Support, Outage Recovery, and Root Cause analysis. 4. Experience generating of Training Documentation. 5. Business Continuity Planning and Enforcement of Information Security Policy. 6. Strong aptitude with hand tools, Basic Electronics Troubleshooting. 7. Ability to measure, design/specify and install production fixtures and equipment. 8. Experience using; Access, SQL DB and CAD What will set you ahead of the pack: 1. Enterprise Systems Relevant Experience (SAP) 2. Lab view development/programming 3. HMI Project Development preferable Win CC 4.
