Job DescriptionPosition Summary:The Procurement Specialist executes supply chain strategies for existing/new products that ensures the supplier base performs in a reliable, cost effective manner and meets all product specifications, delivery requirements and company quality standards. Manages execution of new product and replenishment inventory purchases in order to achieve a 99%+ service level while optimizing overall inventory performance. Develops supplier base thru strategic sourcing initiatives, progressive supply chain management processes, continuous improvement approaches and cultivating solid business relationships.Primary Responsibilities: Source raw materials, components and finished goods by negotiating, developing and executing global and domestic supplier contracts, finalizing purchase agreements and issuing purchase orders and blanket orders across approved supplier basePlan and issue purchase orders to meet specified inventory targets using ERP or MRD techniques. Maintain and update various ERP system/supply chain parameters such as safety stock, order policy codes, lead times, minimum order quantities, time fences, routings, work center assignments etc. in order to enhance system integrityAccountability to manage inventory levels (MOH) and Slow/Obsolete (SLOB) inventory.Monitor, and review Key Performance Indicators for key suppliers and identify/address supplier performance issuesActively participate in various cross-functional projects such as strategic sourcing, cost reduction, end-of-life, new product ramp and inventory performance efforts etc.Research and recommend new suppliers to address cost/quality issues and develop supplier base to meet future business needs. Flow chart purchasing processes in order to identify and simplify complexities. (USa).Execute purchase orders with suppliers that incorporate Strategic Sourcing and Annual Plan initiatives Facilitates disposition of material quality, documentation or receiving/invoicing discrepancies. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsBachelor's Degree - Preferably in Business Admin, Supply Chain or Operations Focus2 to 4 years related manufacturing, engineering or supply chain experience requiredStrong knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) principles and tools and the ability to execute such principles.Experience using Operations/Business system software.Knowledge of Market Rate of Demand (MRD).Knowledge of electromechanical manufacturing and assembly processes is beneficial.Possesses strong business problem-solving abilities coupled with innate internal and external customer orientationStrong negotiation, people skills with proven experience in managing supplier relationships in large complex organizations coupled with solid multi-tasking abilitiesSolid ERP/MS Office background and skillsMinimal travelAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
