Job Description Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager
for the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) line of business,
this position will be responsible for developing and executing
communications strategies for Upper Tier IAMD programs, including
the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system. The UTIAMD
Communications Lead will drive integrated internal and external
communications that highlight THAAD’s critical role in saving lives
and strengthening layered homeland defense. In addition, the role
will work to deepen stakeholder trust and engagement across all
audiences. Key Responsibilities • Strategic Planning & Execution –
Develop and execute integrated communications strategies and plans
for program, employee and executive audiences. Ensure all plans are
documented, shared with stakeholders and include clear timelines,
responsibilities and success metrics. • Executive Communications
Support – Act as the primary writer/editor for executive level
messaging, including speeches, briefings, internal updates and
social media content. Provide counsel on positioning and tactical
execution while maintaining a calendar of deliverables and timely
status updates. • Advisory Role – As a strategic advisor, partner
with program leaders and subject matter experts to shape messaging
and tactics. • Content Creation & Development – Write and develop
high impact content for: • Employee communications • Executive
briefings, speeches and updates • News releases and feature stories
• Social media posts • Trade show content and booth messaging •
Media briefings and media kits • Digital platforms, print
publications, broadcast media and live events All content must be
produced on schedule, follow brand guidelines and be tracked for
effectiveness. • Media Relations – Conduct continuous media
monitoring to identify emerging issues, trends and opportunities.
Lead proactive outreach to industry reporters, manage inbound
inquiries, and coordinate rapid responses that align with Lockheed
Martin and customer guidance, shaping coverage rather than merely
reacting to it. • Advertising & Advocacy – Support advertising
campaigns and third party advocacy efforts, ensuring consistent
branding and message alignment. • Public Relations & Goodwill –
Design and execute PR and goodwill initiatives that advance
corporate objectives with the public, industry partners,
shareholders, and employees. • Visual Asset Management – Coordinate
photo/video capture, secure necessary approvals and manage
distribution of program imagery. • Reporting & Metrics – Deliver
regular performance reports that measure audience reach, engagement
and the impact of each communication tactic against predefined
goals. Include post campaign analysis and recommendations for
continuous improvement. Basic Qualifications • Must have a minimum
of a bachelors degree .• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a
Secret security clearance. • Must have the ability to be onsite
full-time • Exceptional communications skills with strong writing
and editing ability. • Experience in supporting and providing
trusted council to senior executives; leading and developing
integrated strategic communications efforts across internal and
external channels. • Ability to multi-task and work well under
pressure. • Able to plan, organize and support media relations,
marketing, employee communications, trade show, social media and
multimedia activities. • Possesses strong strategic communications
instincts, media relations experience and basic multi-platform
social media skills. • Must reside in or be able to commute to
Lockheed Martin offices in Grand Prairie and Arlington, Texas, for
onsite work and meetings. Desired skills • Experience within
domestic and international aerospace and defense industries. •
Familiarity with U.S. Missile Defense Agency and U.S. Army programs

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this
position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most
major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland,
Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is
$90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary
range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work
location. Please note that the salary information is a general
guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not
limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's
work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market
and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits

incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for
this position in most major metropolitan areas in California,
Massachusetts, and New York is $103,700 - $179,860. For states not
referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect
