Position Description: Electronics Technician

Maintenance Technicians troubleshoot and repair manufacturing systems such as production machinery and equipment, presses, extruders, slitting machines, bagging machines, converting equipment and other electro-mechanical systems for production. In this role you must ensure continuous and efficient operation of all production line equipment and systems, while minimizing production and operation down time and maximizing plant productivity. Key responsibilities for this role include:
--- Install, repair, upgrade and maintain electrical/electronic equipment used in the manufacturing process
--- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, motors, relays, circuit breakers, process controls, and industrial communication networks
--- Communicate actions taken to repair the machine to Operator and/or Manager.
--- Communicate effectively with team members, corporate engineering, vendors, and internal customers
--- Demonstrate knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, and good housekeeping standards.

Position Details:
Location: Grand Prairie, TX (Dallas-Fort Worth)
Shift: Must be flexible to work any shift. You will train on 1st shift for 1-2 months then move to either 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm-7am). When maintenance is fully staffed this summer, the plant will be moving to alternating weekly maintenance crew schedule of Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun one week then Wed, Thu, Fri the next, then repeat. You will work 48 hours one week, then 36 hours the next, with every other weekend off.
Pay: Initial starting base of $26.40-$39.60/hr. depending on qualifications and experience + $1/hr. shift premium ($2.50/hr. for night shift hours worked between 7pm-7am) + O/T paid at 1.5X base after 40 hours weekly + double time holiday pay + monthly bonus (up to 5% of base) + $5K lump-sum relocation for the right candidate. Total 1st Year $60K-$115K+

--- High school diploma or GED
--- 3 years industrial controls experience
--- Ability to troubleshoot/modify/replace Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs
--- A working knowledge of communication networks (Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus)
--- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings
--- Basic knowledge and understanding in process control systems such as: temperature control, pressure control, flow control and PID control loops
--- Proficient in Microsoft based computer systems & computerized maintenance software
--- Physical ability to climb and work at elevations
--- Complete an online personality scenario-based assessment during the hiring process for development.
--- Pass a physical & 10-panel drug test. There is no COVID-vaccination requirement for this position.
