Job Description:

Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking a Coordinator, Logistics.The Logistics Coordinator will support Team Rubicon's warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving of items to volunteer Greyshirts around the country, ensure backstock is kept at optimal levels, track maintenance, utilization, and deployment of key logistical assets. This will require the ability to thrive in bringing order to chaos while not losing sight of the details by getting the right gear to the right place, at the right time to help our Greyshirts in the field.The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for Team Rubicon's growing fleet of vehicles as well as the administration of rental vehicles for Team Rubicon activities.

This position reports to TR'sSr. Associate, Operational Logistics and is based out of our National Operations Center (NOC) in Grand Prairie, TX.

  • Coordinate reverse logistics of supplies returned to the NOC after disaster operations
  • Organize and maintain a safe, process-driven NOC warehouse to facilitate efficient operational support
  • Make warehouse storage decisions based on value-add / non-value-add analysis
  • Prepare maintenance and repair schedules for fleet of vehicles, trailers, and other equipment
  • Monitor repair and maintenance costs and take an active role in developing policies to ensure the most cost-effective management of the fleet
  • Monitor vehicle mileage and investigate any discrepancies
  • Support true asset management from the Operations center-level down to the city-level
  • Support the shipment of assets and the completion of other tasks as needed
  • Assist in maintaining readiness of NOC cache equipment for immediate deployment
  • Monitor and brief status of all NOC deployment-ready resources to staff and volunteers as needed in classroom or remote settings

    Experience and Background:

    • 1-3 years of experience in logistics, vehicle fleet management, manufacturing, production, warehouse operations, or supply chain; or equivalent experience
    • Experienced with technology tools and in remote working for communicating and coordinating with a large network of TR staff members, Greyshirts and external stakeholders
    • Preferred: Associate degree or equivalent training/experience in Supply Chain Management, Economics, or Transportation Management

      Special Requirements:

      • Able to lift 50 pounds overhead and stand for long periods of time
      • Able to operate warehouse machinery with no modifications (pallet jack, standing forklift, wheeled forklift)
      • Evening and weekend schedule supporting organizational goals and operations
      • Ability and willingness to be on-call for extended hours depending on disaster season and impact

        • Full-time, hourly, non-exempt

            • $21 - $26 per hour
