a commutable distance to an officeResponsible for ensuring company
and its subsidiaries maintain compliance with specific applicable
laws and regulations. Maintains Utilization Management (UM)
Licenses for subsidiaries.How you will make an Impact;
- Responsible for Utilization Management license applications
(initial and renewal), regulatory reporting, regulatory
communication/responses and external audits.
- Keeps up-to-date with UM licensure requirements and information
about new laws/regulations and changes in interpretation on laws/
regulations obtained from various sources that impact the
business.
- Ensures that all areas of the organizational unit are aware of
and in compliance with the various state and federal
laws/regulations that apply to business operations and of new
laws/regulations and communicates how they impact the
business.
- Produces concise and accurate written summaries of any new laws
or regulations in relation to UM licensure.
- Discusses new laws/regulations in a thorough, yet
understandable manner.
- Performs original research on points of laws that may arise as
issues of concern.
- Performs internal audits of external communications sent to
members and providers.Minimum Requirements:Requires a BA/BS and a
minimum of 3 years of related experience; or any combination of
education and experience, which would provide an equivalent
background.Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- Training in the legal field preferred
- Proficiency with all MS Office, strong proficiency with MS
Excel
- Strong proficiency with SharePoint
- Experience with NILs Insource system
- Proficiency with MS Teams
- Experience with Adobe Professional tool
- Familiar with UM requirements/NCQA accreditation
- Medicare/Medicaid regulations experienceFor candidates working
in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for
this specific position is $63,200 to $113,760Locations: California;
Colorado; Nevada; Washington State; Jersey City, NJ; New York City,
NY; Ithaca, NY and Westchester County, NYIn addition to your
salary, Elevance Health offers benefits such as, a comprehensive
